I have not read anything regarding sound effects yet so I would like to ask - have the sound files had the Napoleonic treatment as well?

thanks

Yes, all new musket sounds, volley, artillery (one can even hear the fuse being lit if you listen closely), artillery "woosh" sounds, ground hits, air bursts, marching, cavalry charge, melee, ambience, and much more..

There is one that tends to coincide with losing a row of troops in a file that will have you ducking in your seat :)

Marching music will hopefully be in the first patch. It was a bug that we put off until the last second, and realized that it couldn't be done easily with the new GUI--and by that point it was too late.
