Hundred Days Campaign- Part I

Post by william1993 »

The massive French army was split into three wings. Going to Mons via Phillipeville, from Namur was Gerard and his IV Corps, along with Milhaud and his cavalry corps. this consisted of 15000 infantry, 3000 cavalry, and 42 guns

Going directly from Namur to Brussels was the main army, with Bonaparte and his Guard, along with I, II, and III Corps, as well as Exelmann's and Kellerman's cavalry corps. This consisted of around 80000 men and 260 guns

And the right flank, going to Brussels via a circuitous route, was the IV Corps of Lobau with the cavalry of Pajol. This was 9000 infantry, 2700 cavalry, and 44 guns

The main body and the right flank were to reunite near Brussels in two days at the most, barring enemy contact, and then new strategy would be formulated. But for now, the Eagles march
