Hello to all! After hours of gaming in this wonderful SoWG, I began to play mods. They are wonderful too, but I'm haunted by an idea. I should say up front that I'm not a great connoisseur of the 18th age tacticts, and all this is only my guesswork.
So it seems to me that in the mods concern wars of 18th ages, minor troops behave not exatly as it was in reality, they not holding linear tactics and all the time are breaking their formation. I understand that they are behaving such way because so they were acting exatly during Civil War, but maybe something can be done to correct this for some mods?
I think it happened because of AI was made for CW, but in the last age, when line of a battle was dominated, lower-level commanders (including brigade commanders) were much less self-contained, they mostly were looking after their soldiers to form and shoot. More or less independent ones began only from corps (and their analogs) commanders, and really independent began from their chiefs.
As I understand somewhere in the game files, in OOB or something each commander has some parameteres including that defining how far he will be active and dynamic on a battlefield, will be trying to move and attack by his own wish or will be always acting only if he gets an order. So i want if it possible to reduce an initiative for some commanders. But I cant get where these numbers are, files are full of digital values. May be somebody can help me in this question?
