IF ANY ARE INTERESTED: Battle of Eylau In Several Parts Post Uncle Billy Today at 11:14 am I'm going to try something a little different for our next few games. We are going to fight the battle of Eylau in several stages. Like the recent Battle of Posen, each piece will cover only a small part of the overall battle. Where applicable, the results of one of these parts may influence the battle in an adjacent part of the field. Casualties will carry over where that is important. Historically, visibility was poor and the snow was a meter deep. Don't expect the normal advance warning of danger or rapid movement of units. As we will be using historic division and corps compositions, the size of these units may be larger than people are used to or comfortable handling. This is deliberate so as to encourage a tighter control of only a few units at a time and keep a larger portion of troops as a reserve. Trying to fight all your forces at once, even with the AI helping will likely fail since the ground being fought over is of limited size. Some units may not be allowed to move until a certain amount of time has passed. The opening part of the battle will be fought on Wednesday at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. We'll need a minimum of 5 players, 6 would be even better. Must have the up todate mods and a new .dll that Kevin supply at the start of the game.
