I have copies of both The Battle of Bull Run Take Command 1861 and Take command Second Manassas both games give the error War 3D real Time war game engine by Norb has stopped working, so I can not play either game is there a fix for this.

I'm sorry to say that there is limited support for those games anymore. Still, post the log file after a failed attempt to open one of them and maybe someone with those games installed can help out.

Activation procedures are no longer necessary, all you need is your game's registration number. The process and link to the Matrix members site is explained here...

I know that the old activation procedure required the email address you used to purchase GB was required, maybe it still is, along with reg number.

If you still don't have luck, you can email Matrix support. They are typically quick to respond will be able to get you up and running.
