400 Random Maps (December 22, 2015)

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

400 Random Maps (December 22, 2015)

Post by Garnier »

GcmRandomMaps4b
Download Link (1.3 GB)

This mod includes 400 fictional maps, and improves the in-game terrain graphics. It's a followup to the 100 Random Maps I posted a couple years ago, exact same format just more new maps. My computer has been generating random maps for GCM every month so I figured I'd post these in bulk for anyone else who might have a use for them.

To install, use 7zip or WinRAR to open GcmRandomMaps4b.7z after downloading it, and drag the two folders from the zip into your Mods directory. (Click here for a screenshot of installing a mod.)
After installing, this mod will take 10 GB of space.

Then start the game, go to your Modifications menu, and enable GcmRandomMaps4 and GCM_Terrain4. The maps will be available in your Sandbox menu and the terrain will be enhanced.

If you play the GCM Singleplayer Campaign, you can install these as normal, and the singleplayer campaign will add these to the mix of maps it uses.

Feel free to modify / redistribute these maps any way you wish.

Here's what the maps look like with the terrain mod enabled:

"Garnier" - has about Seven Maps in the "Released Mods Section" that are still available for download.

"Garnier" - also used a different Forum for playing his Mods - So they might be available there, not sure.
