:) Hehe, estabu2 , just a little alpha male vs. alpha male jousting with Norb & the NSD team. I tell you what though, if you have plenty of testers, I would be glad to help out all NSD member questions on these forums after the game is released. Just like on the MMG boards.
You have no idea how much I appreciate that. I never want any question to go answered on my boards. So when the community starts filling in and answering the questions that I used to answer myself, it really saves me a ton of time. It also shows to me that the community has matured to the point where I don't have to keep jump starting it. Not really an issue here so it's more of an extension of MMG boards. But if you look at the old MMG forum, I answered every single question all the time trying to create content for the board.

I feel we were and are all very fortunate to have had Chantilly and ADukes (is he just like wired into the system on a physical level?) at the MMG forum.
If one wasn't around to answer, the other was.
Chantilly was the one that taught me the whole .csv files "copy/paste", as well as my first friend at the forums.:)

I still think about the night he and I were in the MMG chat for 3 HOURS!! trying to figure out why I wasn't getting the corn in the Antietam map!

It finally was so simple a solution, that it took all of less than 5 minutes to actually fix.

It's good to see you more on the boards Chantilly.:)

right now all i have is satellite connection, but, after the fisrt of feb, i'll be getting dsl. is 1.5 mb enough. hey you know me if i see a bug i always let you guys know
about no matter weather you guys like it or not. i just like everything perfect in a game i'm playing. all i do all day is play games either online or offline. i've worn out 2 tcm2 disks already from playing them over and over and and i just had to buy a new rtw and rtw alexander disk because i wore it out. i've learned a lot more about modding game now too. changing around the online files. i made julii spartans in the online rome total war game. lol and huge monster elephants, roman cataphract cavaelry too. you're not supposed to to that online. but every once in awhile you get some pretty obnoctious ppl playing that game that think they so good that no one can beat them.lol. i just got a new graghics card MSI nVidia 8400gs series 512mb for my pc. it doesn't have a fan and its duel core. in a few months i'm planning on putting in a quad core cpu and motherboard. but anyway get back to me on the testing thing. i'll be more than glad to look for the bugs. i do have unlimited download with my satellite connection between the hours of 2am and 6 am everyday. well unlimited bandwitdth is what i mean. i'd much rather have cable but i live out in the country now in pa.

Not sure where you guys are on testers but I am available, reliable and have a great rig with a fast cable connect. Of course, not to mention that I love the ACW and Gettysburg in particular.

I can send a dxdiag if it helps but didnt feel posting that here was wise :)

Right now we have our development testing staff. When we reach alpha we will post on the forum to recruit new testers. It probably won't be for a couple of months. Thanks.

Right now we are looking for 1 or 2 more reliable multiplayer testers.

You MUST be available at the following times to test every week. We realize that real life gets in the way once in a while.

Sunday, Tues, Thursday. 9PM-?, but we usually finish up around 10.

These are US Eastern Times.

You must have cable, dsl, or fios internet connection.
Dual Core computer
at least 2gbs ram
at least 256MB video card

We don't have time to deal with hardware issues, so please only reply if you meet or exceed the specs.

1. Available at above times
2. Lots of experience playing TC2M
3. Correct hardware
4. Correct internet connection
5. Understand the difference between testing and playing
6. Read the post on our forums about what we expect from testers.

PM or email me if you want to be considered.

A few words to add to this. Our tests usually consist of 3,4, or 5 games being "played" a night. They usually only last about 10 minutes, then we shut down and try something else.

I think LP will confirm that, we don't do anything fancy while testing. Pretty much each games consists of heading right at each other and just moving people around making sure stuff is working correctly and not really trying to "get" the other person. We do have fun though, like when we were testing out a possible melee but, sending 2 brigades and cavalry at each other just for melee is great, and leads to HUGE casualties, hehe.

Most of the time we are just flying around our guys making sure they are doing what they are suppose to do. It is fun, but as norb said, understand that we don't really "play" the game, we "test" the game.

I look forward to some more people coming on the team.
