Mini-map problem

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Mini-map problem

Post by cliometrician »

I'm afraid I earlier posted this in the wrong place:

Gentlemen, this is a crisis of the first order. I just got a new computer. Downloaded all of my saved mods  into my Gettysburg folder. Activated the mods I wanted, then started to play. The map looked as expected, but the problem was with the mini-map. When I brought it up the map layout occupied only the top left one-third of the screen--the rest of the screen was black and my army was off the map in the blackout section.

What have I done wrong, or failed to do?  Help will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

Mini-map problem

Check your Mods and see if you have one of the mini map Mods activated :
Map_Screen
SmallCouriersAndMaps
CourierAndMaps

I had the same issue on different scenarios with these Mods Enabled.
I don't use any of them anymore but I do use the Enhanced Map Icons Mod.
You might have to try each one of the map mods one at a time with the scenario you are playing to see if your map is back to normal.
See if this works or if someone else pops in with another remedy...
Hope this helps.
