Resizing mini-map

I have searched to see if there are any posts on this and can't find anything.  I was wondering if it is possible to make the mini-map larger or even better detachable so it can be viewed on a second monitor.  I have real difficulty working out who is what and where on the existing map

This mod enlarges the GB and AN mini-maps.  Checked the download and it still works, nine years after publication.
