Some of the places we are talking to are willing to burn it to a CD and ship it. I would rather wait and create a nice package with a printed manual. I don't know if that will happen, but we all want a printed manual in there some day. But you might wait a long time if you are going to wait for the CD. Maybe I'll burn one just for you :)
Hi Norb...and, if I may, what is a "long time?"

Thanks

How long are you willing to wait after the download is availble to find out if NSD will release it on CD? Could be pretty painful listening to all of us talking about playing the game and not be able to play yourself.
It isn't the first time I had to wait. With TC2M I didn't have a good computer so I had to wait for it. I can wait.

I don't know how long you may have to wait for a manual or CD version. Yes there will be a PDF manual in the game. Only the download version is a definite right now.

Haven't set the price yet. We will discuss it when it's the proper time. It effects everyone on the team, so I'll probably just take a poll and make a final decision on the results.

I definatly think that some sort of CD release would be benificial. Computers have problems, things crash unexpectedly. I know how important backing up files is, but having a C.D. on hand, just in case a computer dies, or has to be replaced, it's nice to have it there.

Just arrived here via some rather lucky searching on my part. Being a “Total War” series gamer but having started out with the old “Hex Grid” PC strategy games (yes, I am that old!) I was doing a random search for a Gettysburg PC title and stumbled here!

Have to admit that I’m glad I did. I have hopes for the title and will look for the release. I will you only be issuing a Download via your core website here or have you considered opening up the title to someone like STEAM to distribute via download also? Whilst distribution and update people such as STEAM have had poor press in the past they are vastly improved and it would certainly allow for a larger customer base.

When the game is released for Download, I will mention the title to other “TW” gamers as we like our dedicated titles and are growing disillusioned with the SEGA/CA titles (i.e. since the SEGA buyout), the constant drive for “graphics over content” has left a good proportion of us looking for strategy titles of quality which I hope this one will be (fingers cross huh?).

Anyway, wish you all the luck and I’ll keep monitoring for updates.

I will be very happy to download from Norbs website, I suppose we could use paypal or something like it, Not sure about Steam, they have had a lot of bad press, I downloaded Empire total war, nothing but problems with it.

I will use a known service provider for payment. I won't take that on myself because I will not risk people's information. So we're willing to give a small percent away for another provider to handle the charges and payment. They claim to be able to handle from anywhere in the world, so it should work out well.
