Fremont, NE[/size] "Boys, if we have to stand in a straight line as stationary targets for the Yankees to shoot at, this old Texas Brigade is going to run like hell!" J. B. Poley, 4th Texas Infantry, Hood's Texas Brigade
Thank you gentlemen...I will be indeed fighting for my native Pennsylvania...though I need to learn the game before I can do anything other than a brigade and work my way up. I am extremely interested in commanding a battery as well....but as I just now bought TC2M....I need some practice. Stay in touch if you decide to create a team for I will fight with the II and XI corps any day.
I think instead of claiming a high-level command can be quite stupid without actually having played the game. Which is why I consider myself a lowly cadet at West Point reading up on the books of war. When the Rebels come, that's when I fight, and pardon the anachronism, maybe I'll even earn my wings.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure.

I think it will really depend on how many people are in the MP game. Fewer people = taking higher command. More people = going down to division (and perhaps brigade and battery levels). No problem. You are right though - it is all just talk at this point. Ephrum's trash talk thread is spreading like a virus into other threads. It's the excitement...
I agree, I don't want to take a corps or a division into battle and have 1 brigade fighting, the other eating peaches in the peach orchard, and the last one sleeping all because I am having a hard time navigating the map and my command.
I have been playing TC2M a lot working just on the brigade level and trying to take command of a battery here and there. I wonder if some online MP matches will be a division vs a division so that there is a division commander...then a few brigades underneath him. Can't wait to find out.
You can set up MP sandbox fights as small as a single brigade if you want for 1 on 1. If you specify a division sized fight, that is all that is on the field. this would handle up to 3 v 3 for divisions with 2 brigades and a division CO. We are testing various non-purely historical MP OOB designs for sandbox to see which gives the best versatility and fun.
As soon as we get the SDK out, players will be able to create their own OOBs for sandbox in both SP and MP. We expect a lot of variations to be written on OOB structure, which is fine with us. The design of the game is intended to allow easy addition of mods.

"My God, if we've not got a cool brain and a big one too, to manage this affair, the nation is ruined forever." Unknown private, 14th Vermont, 2 July 1863
I already have an old group called the Ugli's (United Gamer's League, International), of which a few have posted here and whom I know will buy the game when it is released. I also have many others from other game clans who are looking into this game. I am trying to let as many people as I know, hear about the game, so they can pass the word. The more the merrier when it comes to MP.
