The first thing you should do is run through the first tutorial so you can learn the new game interface without getting your gluteus maximus (look it up) shot off because you can't find the button now. The interface has changed significantly from TC2M.

I never did the tutorials in TC2M. I jumped right in and did indeed get my gluteus maximus shot off, which I found to be an excellent learning tool.

That is the reason why you fight for the Union. Learn those mistakes on the field, then correct them 1864!

Hopefully I will learn them on single player before getting into MP!

Let's just hope it takes a few weeks to learn these lessons and not really 3 years! I like the tutorial in TC2M because you work on maneuvers with your brigade and division as much as you want and not follow the tutorial objectives at all. That helped me a lot going into the game.
With MP the hardest thing will be getting used to working with your fellow players. Just like real life a human divisional commander will need to learn about his brigadier's strength's and weaknesses in battle. The brigadiers will need to learn how to follow orders but and communicate with division. That is why I think organizing players into corps will be useful as the more you play with people the better your corps will get. The best part will come in the after actions reports where the two sides go back and forth and yell at each other!

Can't Wait!

I've been studing WWII tactics (German) and wondering if the Unionists could apply them in GB. Any ideas? (I've got my own, but we wouldn't want those dirty cheat'n rebs to hear them. :)

You mean roll in with Tiger Tanks and bomb with Stukas? Yeah, that may work. :cheer:

You didn't hear? Norb said there was actually another game - a WWII one imbedded in SOW - but you have to beat SOW to get there!

I was under the impression that it was a cheat. Open up a tab-bar and type in Blitzkrieg. Then you'd get the entire Luftwaffe, the Wermacht would charge in from the west and paratroopers would jump onto both Culp's Hill and Little Round Top.

First thing I will do is breathe a huge sigh of relief that I finally have a multiplayer Civil War game. Going to run a couple of scenarios by myself and then head for the multiplayer chat room. I can hardly wait for the release as I believe it will be a blast to play.
