partly lag.as i say i havent played this game its the whole mp experience with other games that have put me off.i dont have the voip thing that means you can talk to other players ingame but i was able to listen.
the level of abuse i heard directed at others, not at me was enough to stop me wanting to interacting with any of them.these comments are not directed at players of this game in any way.my admittedly limited experiences have served to drive me away from ever wanting to try another mp game.my gaming mates are of the same mind, and as some of them are currently serving members of hm forces there gametime is limited and they dont want to spend what little they have listening to people abusing each other over a game.again not this game but thats been their experience too.
Hi Redcoat.

I know what you speaking about because I felt the same way, but that changed when I took the chance with playing SOW mp, and it worked out very nicely. I normally don't play MP with others because I'm still trying to get comfortable with it, but that is just me thinking I'm not good at the game, but once I did play with the other members here, I soon found out that some are just as bad as I am. :)

You have to remember that if there are 50 players for mp, you will always be assured that there will be one or two that want you to play the game their way, and they can be pretty darned po with you, but that is their problem, not yours, and this was one of my major problems, I always took it so personal. Not anymore though because I know that there are others playing the game that will stick up for me, and you.

Always remember, Norb, and his team created the game for you to enjoy. I will always have a game with you redcoat if I see you online, so you will always have me in your corner...and no matter what I play to have fun!

Cheers, and hope to see you online!

We miss you Mike. Come back soon. Been a lot of great games lately. we've been playing with some custom oobs made by kg_sspoom which have a skirmish regiment of 200 in each brigade that have 250 yard range muskets. Helps keep the guns off the line. Very fun, competitive games lately.

Hi KG_Soldier

At least someone does :cheer: . I haven't had much time lately because I've been working on my forum for D-Fend Reloaded, and getting it where I want it is taking more time than I thought.

I logged on earlier today, and the MP lobby was empty, more empty than me own head. That does sound pretty cool (the new oob), I'll probably try getting on sometime tomorrow. What are your general times for mp?

Hope to see you later on today. (12:54am here). Well off to go :pinch: one off.

later!

Hey Mike,

Usually we have the most people on in the evenings, US time, starting about 7 PM EST (which is unfortunately 12 AM GMT and 1 AM on the continent). However, several of our players are around for earlier games. I don't know if our TS server is posted here somewhere (or if I'm allowed to give it out) but that is usually the best way to check to see if anyone is on.

On weekends, things are usually a bit more open - we've had people on today since maybe 10 AM EST (or earlier) and there will be people on, I'd imagine, until maybe 10-11 PM EST (and Fridays too), possibly even later. We have several Brits playing currently as well, so that may give some of you more flexibility. Sundays will be similarly open, although the evening crowd usually thins earlier since most of us work or are old and grouchy past 9 or 10 PM :P . I think I might be both. :pinch:

Haaaa, sounds like a plan. I'll login at your website, and join in. Boy some of those times are off the mark for me, but who knows, I'll try to make them work.

Cheers, and take it easy!

Mike, I'll ask them to look for your form so we can get you set up.

Good choice, and welcome!

Thread necromancy!

I wanted to bring this topic back to the fore because the question exists still, and with renewed interest (for me, anyway) considering the new patch.

MP was already starting to have fewer players (it seemed) up to the beta release of the features patch. The release brought on a brief revival of the MP community, but that already seems to have faded. Where has everyone gone? Is this a case of c'est la vie (meaning, here, that people just have other stuff to do) or what?

We randomly have 14+ player games but they are quite rare these days. Last night I think there was maybe 1 game w/ 6 total players, and that had to wait until nearly 8 EST just to have that.

Discuss!

Hi, that bothers me as well. Guess for us european players time difference may be a factor. We had a 4 player session yesterday and it worked out great. Loads of fun, still too few players.

Perhaps all we need is some sort of "can't miss, easy to use" assembly point. Garniers Mod is awesome but not everybody might be aware of how to use it. The multiplayer lobby somehow never catched on.

Still, for me this is the best tactical war game i played in years. Keep it up and spread the word:)
