mikesla,

I believe what you are looking for is in the csv.gfx file. Open this file up and read the column explanations.
When I was doing the smoke for this game we started off with one smoke effect for arty and one for infantry.
Norb and I figured four was better and I also wanted the smoke to eminate from in front of the weapon B) unlike the previous game, so we now have an offset value as well as a height value.

This is a very touchy file, however, so definitely save a copy before making changes as this is a big juggling act.

Also, if you want a random act, you only have four chances and beware of too much smoke volume (the urge to want smoke to hang around for a while) as it will not look pretty after a certain stage.
There is one "flash" in the GunSmoke group but is not very apparent ingame. The graphics for all these are in the Graphic / Effects folder and you'll need something like Photoshop to make alterations.

Good luck,

Derek

Hi Bedbug!

Excellent. I'll be taking a peek at the file, and I'll definitely do backups...

Thanks Bedbug...now too get to work. :)
