I don't think it is a mod, although I suppose we need Little Powell to confirm that.
It's not a mod. I have seen that OOBs can effect how couriers are handled, but I didn't realize there was an issue in any of the stock scenarios. I'll check it out..

Speaking of OOBs, do you know if I should have the OOB folder in one of the mod folders (for example, in the Courier and Maps mod folder) I put the "Scenarios folder there from the SDK, but not the OOBs.

Ok tried this out. I'm unable to re-create the issue, it works fine for me.
I set my courier to brigade level. I started the scenario , I control Jackson. I sent a courier message to Brig Gen Hays, ordered him to move forward 300 yards, then form into line position. He complied..
Are you sure you are giving him formation orders as well? If you don't, he will just move without his units.

ok - that sorted my problem anyway. thats definetly changed since the patch, i hadnt noticed cos i usually dont play corps battles. You didnt have to specify a formation in the courier menu - just move here, use roads where possible.
There are alot of options in the formation option now - are they all new? Form march column for divisions, but that is seperated for infantry and cavalry? what if the division has both?

Yes there were quite a few changes to the courier menu in the 1.2 patch. Being required to specify a formation was put in to correct an issue with all of a commanders regiment arriving at their destination on top of each other. Check the revised manual that comes with 1.2 for specifics.

There's a date/time tab in the courier menu. Try setting the execution time of your orders in the past--you're usually able to choose the previous minute. What you're describing happens to me frequently (very frustrating!) but changing the execution time often fixes the problem.

Well, I tried it in the normal scenario without the mod, and yes it worked. Then I tried it with the MTG courier mod, and it didn't work. Seems strange.
Also, Jackson start's with different units in when I use use the courer mod through User Scenarios. Is that supposed to happen? I got the scenario folders from the SDK.

The units he starts with may change every time. The starting divisions are random..

I checked the new manual - it doesnt seem to go into any new detail?

Any idea on why it wouldn't work with the MTG courier mod?
And, should the OOB folder be in the specific mod folder like the scenario folder is?
Thanks,
Charles
