5.9 Earthquake in Virginia

Man, no wonder I don't like news casters all that much. This particular person was reporting that it dropped from a 5.9 to 5.8, and I swear the person was hoping for something worse. Man these people really love to have a disaster...

Interesting that Fox news actually can think on it's own. Well kudos to them for speaking in such a way. Normally they have to look over to see what Murdock has to say about it.... (evil grin) :woohoo:

There are some independent thinkers there. Shep Smith is one of them. His reporting on Katrina was superb. Standing in front of the SuperDome, pleading for the Government to do something for those people inside was pretty moving. I even sent an email to Bush asking him to get off his butt and help those poor people.

That's cool to know that there are some left that can stand one their own out there. Good for you for sending off that email, It all has to start somewhere.

The helicopters showed up the next day to start evacuations. I'm sure it was because of my email.

Haaaa, creepy...that's me before I met my wife. I was a hit with the ladies back in the mid 80's. I had my groove on back then. :laugh:

Good to know nothing went wrong. I guess they felt it up in Toronto as well, quite incredible that a 5.8 would radiate so far out like that. I know the last one who folks had there was back late 1800's.

Though it pains me to admit it, California boy that I am, this earthquake felt a lot stronger than the Richter scale reading would indicate. Apparently this was because of the geology of the East Coast and the shallowness of the quake.
