Re: Battle Music
No, it's far simpler than that. Convert the music files to wave, (a lot already are when you download them), and simply rename them as the originals. Delete, ( or actually save them in a Folder somewhere else), the originals and put the new ones in the "Music" folder in the "Base" folder in the main Directory.

That looks like what Mike did for his Null Sound mod. Replaced all the sounds with files that had nothing but silence. No, it's far simpler than that. That's what I said to do Jack in step #1 (geez). :silly:No, it's far simpler than that. Re: Battle Music
I hate to say this Mike but I just moved all the stock sounds into another folder called Original Sounds and viola!, blessed silence.
I'm calling it the Brute Force Null Sound mod.

Re: Battle Music
Cool. I personally don't do that because I have found in the past programs which do make calls for files not present could cause the program to act odd, if not crash. That is why I prefer using nulled sounds. The files are there to be called which in my mind keeps the integrity of the program/game intact. I'm all about keeping the integrity of the game. I have done a small null edit for another game (fallout3), and if I removed a sound file (renamed it) it caused the game to crash. I use my null edit for it, and the game runs nicely, hence the reason for using nulls. :blink:I hate to say this Mike but I just moved all the stock sounds into another folder called Original Sounds and viola!, blessed silence.![]()

Tell me, for MP play does SOWgb do an integrity check on sound files before starting?
Hey whatever floats your boat.

You're absolutely right. I fully expected the game to crash when I tried it. It's probably a tribute to Norb's coding that it didn't. You did it the right way. I was just having a little fun as I am want to do.Cool. Re: Battle Music
How do you play Vice City as MP? I don't mean the mod, I'm talking about the gameplay.
