That was great Little Powell! Thank you for doing that!

And I agree with you, that knowing it's from the voice of a real Confederate Soldier gives it authenticity!!!

I sat there listening to it with a dopey grin on my face! Or so I was told!

Well done Sir, well done!B)

I unplugged my headphones and played it through my Cambridge SoundWorks speakers......it sounded like a crazed pack of Hyena's let loose from some dark bottomless pit!

Haha yeah.. I adjusted some of the pitches to simulate the higher and lower voices, and the high voice does sound like a hyena!

It does kind of take on an "inhuman" characteristic.. Especially at the end.

Maybe that's why it always scared the Yanks half to death!

Nice find! Personally, I think the yell sounds something like a dying cat being strangled by a howling dog which was being chased by a pack of angry Natives. If I was on a battlefield, I don't know if the scream would scare me more....or the hundreds of long glistening bayonets?
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure.
