And to you 4thMiss. I put this project on hold when I realised that we could not use the file for MP. Sorry. One day maybe?
Apologies for delayed response. I was away on the Welsh borders.

Notwithstanding anything I may have said in a previous post, have started playing around with the stock sprites to create more uniform varieties
For example there are now spruce new Union & Confederate regts which could represent newly-raised (or equipped) troops.
There are also more varieties of sprite with mixed uniforms, including Confederate cavalry. This is not particularly well tested yet, and hardly deserves to be called a mod, but if anyone is interested, send me a private message with your email and I will send the file to you.
It's all done through the unitglobal.csv file, so you cannot use it for MP games unfortunately.

@Martin James:
Hey, you are aware that it also helps to appoint the uniforms in the drills.csv file, to keep the uniforms separated.
Basically, to put it another way, so that the same uniform is not on five soldiers standing beside each other.
(0-0-4)124,(0-0-6)122,(0-0-3)120,(0-0-2)117,(0-0-1)115,(0-0-1)113,(0-0-4)100,(0-0-2)98,(0-0-5)96,
Translated:
Sprite 124 - use uniform 4, Sprite 122 - use uniform 6, Sprite 120 - use uniform 3, etc...

No I didn't know that. I will play around with it.
Many thanks.
