Saw it last night and really enjoyed it - I went for the 3D version in the end, the space scenes were great, but not a whole lot else looked amazing in 3D.
Lots of questions -
1. Who was the engineer at the start? He opens some box, kills himself and then falls into the waterfall? What ship was that over him? Prometheus? Why did he do that?
2. Why did they leave numerous maps for us to find them, if they only wanted to kill us?
3. Aliens V Predator had the predators laying aliens in ancient Incas or Egyptians or whoever so they could hunt them. This would have predated Prometheus by 3-4000 years? So the alien at the end isn't the first, nowhere near it - but it was a primitive version...maybe the two movies aren't linked..
The surgery scene was horrendous but a great scene.
Final thought - why oh why do aliens keep trying to stick their probes down their throats and lay things in us? Can't they just nuke us instead of sending a ship of squids to impregnate us all.
