Chancellorsville Road Errors

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

Silly me I pay $30 for the game that has a large number of bugs and ask for a patch. Maybe if you spent more time testing and fixing problems instead of criticizing customers the customers wouldn't be complaining.
I somewhat understand what you are saying, but it would be advisable to tone it down a little. I find it is hard to get help when I demand something.

As Norb said somewhere, their road-checker was not catching the errors properly. He hopes to fix it, then go back and fix the maps as updates, but that fix cannot be expected in a short period of time. The team is small and the game does not represent their primary source of income, so us customers need to keep that in mind.

There are no problems on the Gettysburg maps to my knowledge, but there are a few bugs on both the Antietam and Chancellorsville Maps. However, there are several free mod fixes that you may have noticed (GCM Mod and MTG's Mod) that will keep your troops marching properly.

Many of the team is relatively new; accusing ADukes of ineptitude is utterly incorrect. To my knowledge, ADukes's works on design and graphics, not maps, so I would hazard to guess he is not responsible for any road errors.

I'm sure you will find that the bugs beyond the road errors are minimal and I wish you victories (UNION VICTORIES!!!)

The Test Team spends countless hours testing. More hours in time than the cost of $30.00.

Remember Jsteed.........NOTHING.....is perfect in this world. But all of us on this Team has spent "blood, sweat and tear's".....not too mention countless hours away from our families..... to provide all with the best gaming/Sim experience that there is too offer.

Stop worrying about the damn roads and send them in cross-country.

Roads are for Artillery and slackers.

While I agree there are problems with regards to debugging the maps, Norb has promised to release a patch to correct the C'ville maps. I have never known Norb not to deliver what he promises. So I think you can rest easy in this matter. In the meantime, I fixed all the road issues on all the maps and placed them in one mod. They may not carry the official NSD trademark, but they do the job.

I hope this was meant in jest.

Everyone just take a deep breath. Patches are coming soon to fix all road issues. Unti then, there are folks like MTG that kindly create mods.

You know NSD will always take care of you.... :)

You are 100% correct that roads are pretty much useless on stock maps. Not only that, but having a brigade arrive at the battle in column by division or regular columns makes it much easier to engage the enemy en mass, rather than having to form them up after being strung out on the road or engaging piecemeal.
