I have better luck luring the battle that direction. My superiors never seem to take any of my dispatches seriously.

"I have three division bearing down on me. Request support." Rarely do I get the asked for support. I usually end up falling back to new position near a friendly division to balance the numerical odds.

Yeah, I was really gung ho Civil War back then, had my war sets from Sears Roebuck, several sets.
I made the mistake of telling one of my professors that I did Civil War reenacting. He looked at me like I was a lab animal. I was just waiting for him to ask: "may I connect diodes to your head?" We became good friends. His niche was historical memorialism, so his probing was understandable.

Sounds like you are using free text messages? These are designed for sending to human players during MP play. To get AI superiors to help, send frequent 'request support' messages. Sometimes they take notice.

Sorry. I was ad-libbing to add context. When playing with a friendly AI, I just use the 'request support' or 'enemy spotted' messages.

Is it possible make an 'urgent request for support' message? That would be very helpful.

ooops! Beg your pardon :cheer:

I just use, on MTG's advice, the request support message. Though I often want an "I really mean it this time" message I guesss there is only a need for once. If there were degrees of urgency we'd all always use the message most likely to get support.

No pardon necessary. It was my mistake. And I agree. When most of us use the 'request support' message, it is an urgent request. Otherwise, we wouldn't bother with it at all. ;)
