Annoyingly, SoW changed the csv layouts so that certain animations are broken into more lines in the csv. For example I think the firing animation now includes a separate line to represent loading with angle and frame entries allocated accordingly. For TCM there was no separation. You just had a firing animation whose frame and angle entries covered everything.

In converting sprites made for TCM to SoW you probably need to break down certain csv entries for particular animations. Have a look at Davinci's converted reb uniform mod but I expect the Nap sprites have different layouts to stock TCM sprites
Hey Crikey - thanks for the heads up....As always you are right sir!

The shoot animation in TC2M needs breaking up into: Load Ready and Fire - I think I have this addressed now but it needs some fine tuning

Charge and Run crash issue has been resolved

Thanks my friend - mini update I think I have the kink's out of the sprites now but need to do a bit more testing - slight delay but hopefully worth it ;)

Nothing too exciting but I have also done a reskin of a sprite so we now have French Revolutionary Light Troops as well

I dont suppose anyone is working on a Tricolour flag for the French??

Hi Gunship - not sure who did them its quite an old mod at least 3/4 years old. The old game never did Napoleonic warfare justice but I see great possibilities with SOW.

thanks Zeke. I remeber the old H&M but could never get into it.

Also there is a tricolour flag in the Nap mod already, use GFX_French_1814. There is no unit icon though.

Terrific work, Zeke.

The H&M mod had some cool sprites. Hope we'll see more ported over.

I think Bedbug did a lot of the Nap ones. A gifted modder, for sure. B)

Yes it was Bedbug I had a look through the older posts on the other site (I think he was also reponsible for the Rebels and Redcoats mod - Hmm there's an Idea!!!)- Thanks for the heads up on the Flag sprite I'll have a look.

I'll port over a few more sprites over xmas (another version of the Revolutionary Line troops and Guard sprite) - Just need to sort out the death sprites bit of a glitch (looks like the dead bodies are floating! ) but I'll figure it out. I'll post pics as I proceed.

Any way its xmas eve!!! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to one and all :) :) :)

Here are some more of the sprites Im converting

Mixed up the republican Line troop look a bit more 'worn' in appearance I'm also porting in the Infantry wearing liberty caps. The Guard Troops needs a bit more work as they have a couple of glitches that I working on but look quite cool....More updates to come...

Brilliant work! They look great, especially the more mixed up uniform set. THis is good news, we're well on our way now, if NSD can open the relevant files up for MP, to see many, many more nations and unifoprms se the light of day from TC2M days.

Do you know if there were ever any Austrian infantry made in the kaskett hat, or that odd short, false-fronted hat whose name I now forget?

And yes, that American Revolutionary War sprite set does sound interesting since we already have the perfect maps for them!
