I hope War3DII is just a working title. It has no zing or historical resonance. You want this to sell! How about: Lee's Gamble or simply Lee at Gettysburg.

Nope, that's the title.
The reasoning is that we want our quality to be associated with our name. W3D is our brand, for lack of a better word, so when you buy and enjoy Gettysburg, we hope that you will notice more of our titles in the future and take a chance on them. Even if they don't see right up your alley.
I like War3D, I've been using it for years, so people associate it with this gaming type.
I can see the arguments on both sides, but brand name loyalty is something that we feel we can inspire. So we geared our title towards that.

I agree with Norb. Plus, the game isn't just about Lee, it is about the whole combat at Gettysburg.

All I can say it is refreshing to see a developer who doesn't speak "Corporate Marketing Lingo", which sounds good, but doesn't really answer any questions.
The writer asked if there would be a map editor and norb told him "not until after any expansions". This is the kind of answer I like to hear, even if it isn't what I want to hear. hehe Truth means more to me than "BS". Thanks Norb.
When can we pre-order? I would like to support your development before the game is released. I have always tried to support small PC game developers, who do the right thing by telling the truth, listening to their fan base, and trying to give them what they want (within reason).
Kudos for what looks to be one of my favorite games.
Sorry I have not been on in a long while, but we were hit by a wind storm here in Kentucky a few months ago, which damaged the house (and we were without power for 10+ days), then recently, we had an icestorm which took down power lines (250,000 homes without power) and THEN my teenage daughter somehow managed to run across a nasty Trojan Horse virus while perusing guitar riff websites: This virus actually rewrote and replaced Windows code/files to where the only way to eliminate it was through a reformat of the hard drive. SIGH
Shame I missed getting to be a beta-tester due to my lack of participation, but I see estabu was lucky enough to be asked. From reading his posts many months ago, I him and I are similar in our MP tastes and I have the greatest confidence in his abilities.
Which will make it all the sweeter when I kick his butt in our first MP match!

woot!
Have fun guys, and I will try to drop by now my life is somewhat back to.

We have no info about pre-ordering, that will depend on how we end up distributing the game. There are a number of options we are considering, but no decisions have been made.
All is not lost on the beta test front, we will be recruiting a larger group to help wring out the scenarios and to find out the limits of larger and longer MP battles.

Well I can guarantee you I will become thoroughly familiar with my troops routing, so I got that covered for ya!
