Regarding buying a $100 USB drive to maintain a system image backup... seems a little sledge hammer extreme to recover a $40 game - if I can simply save off the appropriate installation or registration code, no?

The first codes were done by an E-Mail so I saved all of the EMails in My Yahoo inbox.

I also copied all of the codes to the Windows \ Documents - as a backup.

But, as mentioned above, a cheap USB Flash-Drive should do the job, I think that I paid $20 dollars for one, but never thought about using it to save the codes on it, a saved EMail works better!

but I have no clue where the 'installer codes' you mention would be located. On my hard drive? Or somewhere at Matrix or NorbSoftDev?

Try the Registry...search/run regedit:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/Matrix Games
