Your focus was probably on Pickett's flag, which is 2D, so the flag and the smoke will align with varying angles. Remove the flag and see if the smoke stays above Pickett's head when changing viewing angles. I'll stand corrected if it does.
Challenge Accepted!
Standby One:
Have to add a house and align the Smoke!
The attachment 2_2018-10-25.jpg is no longer available
Reb - You are Correct, it is sort of impossible to align it correctly!
But, I don't think that the Smoke is really the problem, the problem is that the "Smoke Graphic" is NOT aligned correctly on the "Terrain_Graphics" sheet.
You will notice that even if you keep the same camera angle that the smoke will move out of place!
It moves several pixels left, right, front, and back - It should stay in the same spot. So without that correction - even if someone aligns the smoke with the chimney, the smoke will move out of place.
I don't think that it is a "Camera Angle Problem", only a "Moving Smoke" problem!

Good work there D. Only possible issue I see if you line up the frames is 'will the shift of the frames mess up the smoke graphic'? Presently it has a nice continuous bellowing flow. I don't see how a shift in some frames won't mess up that continuous flow, but we won't know until you follow through with your theory, and, I assume you will cut off the bottom fire part...
We don't want a fire hazard, those old wood roofs are notoriously flammable.

True, that part of the Graphic would have to be cut-off to only allow the smoke to appear in the game.
Another Problem - the houses don't have the same height chimney's attached, so more than one smoke graphic would have to be used, but the ( csv ) files makes that part very simple.
I didn't mean to "Hi-Jack" - "Crikey's" topic, I just wanted to see if this was possible, the answer is sort of mixed, possible, but a lot of work putting in the coordinates manually.
Thanks, for the assistance!

This is nearly done.
- New road incl.I left the other in place.
- Necessary terrain fits on one terrain sheet.
No smoke tho. Sorry, D!
A bit more testing then I'll PM you a drop box link so you can decide how best to release. Your mod, after all.

No Problem "Crikey" - if your Map is using any type of fog-settings the smoke wouldn't have work anyway.
Keep up the Excellent Work!

Looking forward to seeing that road fix, it's been buggin' me for years.
If you want me to release the mod publicly I don't mind, but it's really your mod. Normally I'd upgrade Pea Ridge with your road change and probably offer the textures you altered as a separate mod, or just ask you to release it. But these aren't normal times as I don't have access to the NSD server anymore to edit my download offerings that reside there, like Pea Ridge. Although I've had no issues with Drop Box being my server now for B&F, I hesitate to move the Pea Ridge mod there without having any guarantees of its future reliability. So, like I said in the beginning, if you need me offer the download on Drop Box I will, but I see no advantages to the public over you also making it available through Drop Box instead.
My contract with Drop Box is free and has a maximum total downloads size, but no time stipulation that I know of for keeping downloads available. Am I missing something that prevents you from offering this small mod to the community?

Nope, nothing stopping me doing it via my own Dropbox account.
2 options
Make it an add-on, so you'd activate 2 mods
Make it a stand alone mod as I can cut down on unnecessary files that way. There's a lot of extra terrain files that aren't needed. All files, including scenarios in one new download
Btw - did you want the field works incl in the area of Price's attack?

Whatever you choose is OK with me. If you choose stand alone you'll need a heads up notice for players to only have one Pea Ridge mod activated or scenarios and sandbox oobs will show up twice in their selection sections. And of course, make the name different, probably announcing it's a map and textures upgrade. You could even name it Elkhorn Tavern and explain the name change in the first post intro.
Field works?

RB - thanks. I'll consider options.
Fieldworks in Clemon's Field/Lane - ""Mr Clemon had been clearing up that part of his property, and a lot of dead trees and limbs were piled up along the western fence line....the Fourth Iowa used them to throw up the only fieldworks erected by any unit at Pea Ridge..." The Battle of Pea Ridge - James R. Knight.
Seems to have helped blunt the initial frontal attack, forcing Price to seek to flank.

Of course, the US eastern flank, just east of Elkhorn Tavern. Sure, include the 'abatis'. This type of fieldworks is listed in the CVNorth.csv file:

After further consideration, I think this mod should be an add on, basically a Pea Ridge Map Upgrade, like I'm doing with B&F in upgrading the Pea Ridge battle flags. You can still make it 'Stand Alone', as the upgraded Pea Ridge Map.
