Looks great! Glad you're keeping your head above the fray. ;) Although I thought I heard Davinci say Nowy has final approval.

gunship24 – that looks real good, take into consideration that the human player can maneuver better than the AI player.

I always try to add a few more meters in-between the regiments to give the AI a little bit more maneuvering room.

Also, I’ll do the same thing for the brigades lining up beside each other.

Sorry, I can say only that these screen shots are too small.
I can not see 3-rank line formation. Maybe my eyes are not good, but I see there 2-rank formations.

But do not get me wrong.
I appreciate gunships work. He try do it well, but I can not see well.

Nevertheless there is another question about order of battle.

How many battalions he put into this brigade?

If there are 7 it could be wrong.

In 1809 campaign French Brigades included 3 or 4 and mostly 6 battalions.

gunship what type of colums you created. I can not see it well.

I think that you know
battalion columne par peleton were deeper than wide, there were c.a. 45 men front company and 15 ranks deep including gaps between 5 companies. Voltigeur company formed skirmishers chain.
That column was someting like this

************************** 1 rank
************************** 2 rank of Fusilier or Grenadier company (peleton)
************************** 3 rank
distanse (gap) between next company varied, because there were few types of battalion column par peleton

**************************
************************** next Fusilier company
************************
gap

**************************
************************** next Fusilier copmany
************************

gap
*************************
************************* next Fusilier company
***********************
gap

************************
************************ next Fisilier or Grenadier company
***********************

While battalion columne par division (2 companies each) were ofter wider than deeper, because there were 90 men frot wide and only 9 ranks deep, plus gaps between 3 "divisions".

In the game you should include good scale and ratio, then these battalions columns will looks fine.

Gunship,

While I am in no-way agreeing with His Special-ness, the (theoretical) standard French Regimental organization in 1808-1809 was 4 battalions per. Actually 5 but one was a depot unit, charged with sending replacements to the line battalions. In my impressively learn-ed opinion, (insert sarcasm here), 3 Battalions per regiment, allowing for normal wastage and casualties, would be about right. This would allow you to have one regiment in battle-line with the two others on each flank in assault column. (I got this from Chandler's Campaigns of Napoleon.)Please understand I'M NOT trying to tell you what to do. Merely an observation.

Top tip thanks. I shall do that.
Screenshots are to show off the formation. If you want to know it is showing 3 battalions plus 300ish voltigeurs in the back row. The reason why its three is because ive split each battalion in two due to the 1000+ men in each due to the 1:4 ratio. Thats also why there are three eagles (one is hidden behind the tree) and not six. Yes they are in the wrong place but you neednt worry about it at this stage, formations are far from complete. Like I said in my post above im using stock column of divisions, not napoleonic ones.
