On a different note, YOU GUYS JUST SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME! Moving the Napoleonic topics to here. Did I miss the memo? Jeez!

Bad news - Comp runs like crap. Needs more RAM. Have slots for it!
You can keep the screen-resolution, but you will have to make up the difference in the fps by adjusting some of the other options.

In your SOWGB .ini – file check the for the following lines and adjust them (Lower Numbers – better FPS)

Note – your numbers \ values – will be different from these…..

ObjClip=800
UnitClip=800
TreeClip=800

#optobjdrawdist=800
#optunitdrawdist=800
#opttreedrawdist=800

It’s been located here for several days…..

Hey, gunship24 – it shows that your Mod deserves a place of its own!.....Now that a very good compliment!

I also pinned this topic because it was a little hard to find. :)

I also need to get a link in the released mods thread too. Lots of updates to do there.

[Initialization]
Full Screen=1
Screen Res=0
AntiA=2
Anso=4

Wouldn't turning AntiA, and Anso both to zero should in theory increase your fps as well.
ObjClip=800
UnitClip=800
TreeClip=800

#optobjdrawdist=800
#optunitdrawdist=800
#opttreedrawdist=800
I'll try your suggestion above.

Hey Gunship, a quick question...

Is the original link/download all that one needs to play the game? Have you kept it updated? Or is there a newer version someplace within the thread that needs downloading as well?

Thanks!

That mediafire link should be the latest.

It's good stuff Ashram. I tried it out for the first time yesterday and I'm very impressed.. Best part is, before too long we'll have Napoleonic maps - See the new map mod team post (if you haven't already). :)

Ash,

The basic download will get you going. There are a few glitches we are addressing as they come up, most notably the Cavalry/Infantry charge vs. Artillery. There is a replacement file under the "Cavalry Charge Fix" thread. You will want that. Otherwise, you are good to go.

The current mod is fine. The only things that ive fixed in the update (see post #1) is:

1) infantry will charge when ordered
2) cavalry will charge when ordered

All updates will be added to the first post.
