Davinci, this looks fantastic. Why aren't NSD taking you onto their team?!

I've always liked your mix of the old Take Command sprites mixed in with the SoW sprites. Would you be prepared to release a mod that gave that cool mix to the community? Or did I already miss that somewhere? Are the old sprites repacked in the new efficient format?

Well, I'm one of Norb's strongest supporters when it comes to these games, I'm not really on the team but I do try to assist the forum.
But, he has quite a few dedicated Modders assisting him so NSD is in good hands.

Most of them were released in the GreyMod but they are unpacked .

I like the flow of the unpacked sprites better than the packed ones, the packed-ones seems to stiff in their movements.

I did add a converted \ butternut uniform to both armies by changing the contrast on the TC2M default uniform as seen in the picture above. I would guess that that is the only one that hasn't been released.

Thanks, for the comments!

EDIT Post - Adding Pictures
...............................................................................
This area is east of the tavern that was just a empty slope, so I decided to add in a sort of Devil's Den , with a thin-tree-line slightly above the rocks.

I'm trying to get it to where the men are standing on the boulders, and not just standing in the air.

So, it is a lot of place boulder, start game, check the height, exit game, add boulder...etc....

Picture 3 shows several men standing in the air, so that's where I try to add in another boulder, sometime it works, other times, not so good.

Well, the Lord knows that I didn’t make them, that’s far above my ability to do.

They are a collection of SOW and the previous games TC2M sprites.

They were released a while back, roughly two years ago as a GreyMod to give the CSA a sort of rag-tag un-uniformed look.

I lost the hosting-site that I used to use after they started charging for their services, so I’m not exactly sure how to get them to you, other than in pieces.

They are not packed in the new format of PNG files, so using them might affect your FPS in the game.

I am having problems installing this map. My Anti-virus (Norton 360) identifies it as a heuristic virus, and disables it, is there a different way to get the files?

Other than doing a Google-Search and finding out how to turn off the Anti-Virus, installing the map, and then turning it back on.

I don't use any type of Anti-Virus so I had to look up what exactly that does.
........................................................................................................
File Emulation: Also known as “sandbox testing” or dynamic scanning, file emulation allows the file to run in a controlled virtual system (or “sandbox”) to see what it does. Think of this approach as watching the virus in a sterile testing room with a two-way mirror. If the file acts like a virus, it’s deemed a virus.

Pros and Cons of Heuristic Detection
The main concern with heuristic detection is that it often increases false positives. False positives are when the antivirus software determines a file is malicious (and quarantines or deletes it) when in reality it is perfectly fine and/or desired. Because some files may look like viruses but really aren’t, they are restricted and stopped from working on your computer.

Hey Xreos1,

Does the Norton 360 have an exclusion list where you can put this file in and it will not detect it as a threat ?

I have tried several different ways, and still cannot get it to work.

Turning the firewall off, made no difference.

The file downloads.
Set the compatibility to the same for SOW XP3 run as administrator.
check the unblock.
check that the exception for the file is Allow
right click on file run as administrator
get the "do you want to run" box, click yes:

And then I get the warning that windows cannot find the file

c:\users\myuser\downloads\SOWGB10_MileMapV2.exe
Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

this warning pops up directly over the window I have open which is the download folder and I can see both the warning and the file in the download box and they are exactly the same.

I'm not sure but why would it be a .exe on the Map file?

Also, not sure why there is a hyphen I only remember 10MileMapV2

Did you have any problems with any of the other Maps that you downloaded?

Xreos1,

Looks like what you have is the downloaded file and now you need to open the download and put it in your Mods folder.
I downloaded this map file to my desktop and it is an executable installer that you double click and then click on "run" to install.

I would delete the file you downloaded in your c:\users\myuser\downloads\folder, re-download it to you desktop and then give it a try, double click and install it where you have the Scourge of War - Gettysburg game.
