I've resigned myself to waiting till the end of the month.
I mean what else can I do.

My worst fear however, is that when I get in to work on "THAT DAY", I will see that SOW has been released and I will have to endure 8 hours of torment, knowing that it is out there, but I have to wait till I get home to have it.

That gentlemen, is Gamer's Hell!
ooo feel your pain there - 8 hrs at work knowing that this awesome game is out (how many will throw a sickie the day after release hmmm).....as Erwin Rommel once said "that will be their longest day"!!!

Captain's Log: stardate 2010 month 3 day 30, ( which reminds me i must pay my credit card  ),

After the strange disappearance of the master copy of SOW, due release date in late March 2010, the crew of the starship NORB set forth on a mission to recover this valuable masterpiece, the only casualty so far in the mission was Henson Solvinctus who went for a Lay down in a darkened room, commenting that he just couldn't wait any longer, "its just all got to much".

Wavy lines...wavy lines...wavy lines.

Here's the issue. When I said 1st Quarter 2010, I was thinking March 31, but everyone else was thinking January 1st. So when I clarified and said March 2010, I was still thinking March 31, but everyone else looked at it as slipping back to March 1st. So although we would have shipped if we were done sooner, I had the time needed if required. We've only slipped 1 date, we first said end of 2009 and we missed that. I hate missing dates, but it was necessary. So this date is really only our 1st miss. We're right on schedule.

I wish I had $100 for every shipping date my company missed.

Norb--quite happy with your "slight delay. It has allowed me to grow a full length beard so I really look like Longstreet --though clearly much older and wearing much less fashionable gear.

Quite frankly, the problem with setting any date is that the mental midgets then proceed to carve it in stone without realizing that circumstances may change, such as a previously undiscovered bug! As far as I am concerned, Norb, take your time and "get 'er done...right" to paraphrase that great Nebraska philosopher, Larry the Cable Guy! :woohoo: If that takes extra days, weeks, months, or even a year, aren't we all much better off having the best product possible? Look at all the games (as well as everything) that has been rushed...whoops, almost went political! :P

Take your time and keep up the good work!
