the phishing filter is disabled permanently on my PC. As i understand it, with the filter enabled, each and every web address is sent to uSoft and compared with known phishing look up tables. This not only increases the initial download time but do you really want to send all of your browsing and email addresses to Billy Boy & Company?
Far as email security, if anything even remotely looks like spam or if i don't recognize the sender's name, its gone in an instant ESPECIALLY if its got an attachment!
I'd rather miss a legitimate email rather than open up a can of spam.
I could be wrong, but i think this anti-phishing filter is a relatively new feature for recent IE versions. I don't seem to remember it in the earliest versions of IE.

Some interesting stuff I found about the new Opera browser. Since I started using it, I have loved its performance. This seems like some good news.
