Armistead at the Angle
Re:Armistead at the Angle
Mine is definitely the scoring bug -- should have finished with about 9K, not 13K. Replayed it and scored about 8.2K, but, of course, the high scores screen won't reflect that "real" score.

Ok, well if you sent in a good save of it, hopefully we can squash that bug for good.Mine is definitely the scoring bug -- should have finished with about 9K, not 13K. Replayed it and scored about 8.2K, but, of course, the high scores screen won't reflect that "real" score.

Norb said that it's not a bug, because there is a x2 modifier which doubles the bonus.Finished this one, but think I found the scoring bug again. My final score was 13K plus. I noticed that, at least as of the 41 minute mark, I was earning 400 points per minute from holding the victory location instead of 200 points per minute -- but when I checked the Victory Location on the Map screen, it indicated I should only be getting 200 points per minute. File is sent.

So when does the modifier kick in? What situation would cause this to happen?MrSpkr wrote:Norb said that it's not a bug, because there is a x2 modifier which doubles the bonus.Finished this one, but think I found the scoring bug again. It is applied if the objective site was previously occupied by the enemy.

Hmm.. Interesting that I've never encountered this. Enemies are occupying OBJ's all of the time and I don't see the points double. Unless I don't quite understand it.It is applied if the objective site was previously occupied by the enemy.
Re:Armistead at the Angle
A lot of the scoring stuff seems really odd. If I take and hold an objective and kill more of them than they do of me, I think I win. I ignore the points just like Armistead did at The Angle
. This only gets in the way of the locked scenarios
.

I'm about to start the "Angle GB18", and figured it best to check out prior AARs, which sounded great, before getting into it. The talk about the OJT scoring sounded odd, If it's at 200 points per minute x 2= 400 points per minute, why not make the scoring as you go simply the 400 rate? Unless I'm missing something? :blink:ADukes wrote:Hmm.. Interesting that I've never encountered this. Enemies are occupying OBJ's all of the time and I don't see the points double. Marched Arnistead brigade in column slightly behind other regs to within 300 yds without any casualties and in good condition.
Other Friendly regs were engaging Union troops at the wall in front of "The Copse of Trees". Figured I better help them out by charging/in column those positions and blow the Union regs out of there and freeing up the friendlys to attack elsewhere, in the meantime I could be consolidating my position at the VP site. Well!, it did not work out that way!
The 9th Virginia got routed, captured the pesky gun
that was nearby with another reg, then looked up to see a wave of blue  about to crest onto my position ( by this time I had already lost 450  out of 1900), then mercifully the scenario came to an abrupt halt, declared a Major Defeat score -12, maybe 15 minutes tops into the game.
