"BTW, I did open the download and successfully "OPENED" the file and found the Bugles & Flags, v01 which I then copied to the game"
Fantastic...so you did have unzip capabilities, and just didn't know it, or something like that.
And just to help you with some terminologies of this new generation, unzip and extract are the same. Normally you would think unzip, and then extract...but that's personal bodily issues...and you don't want to get caught zipping while you're extracting... :woohoo:

Thanks, Bugler! Love the flags, et.al. Quite a nice addition! Just finished playing a scenario with the new additions and it was great!

Thanks!
Downloaded and installed Bugles and Flags earlier today. Installation was easy and the mod is stunning!Stevedrumsdw wrote:Unzip and there's a 'Read Me' file. It's a VERY simple process, thanks to the new mod friendly SOWGB engine. How does one install this? Can we use the mod updater?
Thanks!

Absolutely awesome....only problem I have is that the artillery ammo types are scrambled in relation to there icons. The GUI is a huge improvement at least for me .I don't have as many usable fingers/hands as most folks ( left hand is permanently screwed up)so your efforts with the GUI makes a huge difference.Wish there was a version that was compatible for use in MP with the vanilla game.
Excellent work RebBuglar........thanks

Thanks, much appreciated. Yes, the gui, I didn't get the last update with the ammo types fixed...I'll get on it and have a fixed version out soon, glad you saw that. You've got a serious reason why the gui should be modable for MP, maybe I can slip those flags in too. What is the problem with gui and MP? If 2+ guys are playing with the same 1.01b2 and same mods shouldn't the game work in MP?
Re:Bugles and Flags Version 01
I am in fact a cretin. I failed to click on the "yellow box" and activate the mod.
This is a truly excellent mod and I thank you for it.

Re:Bugles and Flags Version 01
The game has really came alive with this mod, Im a flag freak so I love the state flags. The bugle calls are great and brilliantly played and they are very clear compared to the other sounds in the game that are barely audible. Any chance that you will add some more sounds to the mod in the future like muskets, Artillery and marching music RebBugler ? And please do make other scenarios sometime.

Re:Bugles and Flags Version 01
Stupid question. The MOD installed easily and activated. I started one of the original scen. and I didn't see the new flags. Are they only in the scenarios that came with the MOD? Also, where is the toolbar? What is a toolbar as it relatesto SOW? Are we talking about a new user interface? I had to leave just after installing but I was able to start the one scenario to take alook. I know the MOD installed because I saw the new scenarios under user scenarios.
