I'm hoping that with a campaign mode that I can care for the men under my command enough to actually feel more responsible for their safety, and not put them into situations which would wipe them out. The point system doesn't give me reason enough to want to care about my men.
I listed above in an earlier post wanting to have a continuous campaign (created randomly), which you can feel like your actually accomplishing something. A score card is cool, but to finish off a full scale rpg career would be just great.

Something else I would like to see.
I am wondering if I select a commander, or a regiment /etc (doesn't matter how I select him), can I have my view just point in his direction, and/or, could I have them highlighted on the map?
I'm not sure if I explaining this right. It sounds good to me in my head, but then again I am only working with one brain cell today.

I would really love to see the map features improved. Being able to zoom in and out and maybe seeing unit facing in the map would help to clarify the tactical situation at times.
Also it would be nice if there were more formations available. Such as a line formation 3 or 4 ranks deep for tight spots or for added staying power or a skirmish formation that could engage in combat to slow down enemy movement. Ideally, it would be nice to be able to set the rank and file of each regiment individually the way it is in the total war series if you are familair with that.
I have the second patch installed and it still seems like the regiments wheel way too much when confronted by multiple targets, sometimes they will wheel to the point of not firing due to constant adjustment. Maybe even a button to keep the unit from wheeling.

Have not had that much experience with those new refuse commands, when I did, the results seemed to end up with the wheeling problem being discussed, that's why I go back to the old tried and true method of TCing. Next time I run into a similar situation I'll save it and experiment with the refuse command. I think that's what you are referring to!

Uh oh...maybe I'm falling behind. Is there a new command to refuse the line? All I meant in my post was I thought, for example, the AI should decide on a target and stick with it for at least a minimum time period before wheeling to another target and then wheeling back to the first target, etc.AJ
