When you drag it off the truck, it falls on the ground. Then you got to move the truck from over it, just like in real life. Then push the tab key and the objects light up red.

or you could just click the eyeball button on the soldier's user panel, and when you click it, then click the truck, and he will go to the truck, and then you can click and pull stuff onto the soldier. But he can only fit so much.

That eyeball means to see, so to get the soldier to goto the truck that eyeball will make him search it. If you want to resupply a whole squad, say, with grenades or bullets (this usually only works well when it's something communal, like all riflemen or all machinegunners or all grenades, then you can highlight the whole squad, click the eyeball button, and then run them to the truck. Then drag off everything but what you want to load ALL the soldiers with, then click the button that looks like << and they will all get some.

Example: A truck fill with rifle bullets, grenades, backpacks, submachine gun bullets, gas tanks. I have a squad of riflemen. I drag off the gas tanks, submachinegun bullets, backpacks. I click <<. All the men get some riflebullets and grenades.
Okay I understand now. Hey thanks William I appreciate it allot!

I'm getting my arse kicked pretty hard, and need to get resupplied. :)

Again thanks William! :)

Keep in mind you can also repair enemy vehicles and jack their bullets, as well as robbing enemy dead. I frequently like to take out tanks with firebombs to disable them, flank them, and bomb them out and repair it. Any more questions, I'll be floating around

P.S. unless you're dead perpendicular, or it's a weak tank (Japanese or pre-1939), AT rifles blow.

I forgot about grenades too. You can cook grenades (let the fuse count down before you throw it so the enemy can't run or throw it back). Do that by clicking on the target and then holding it for about 3 seconds then let it go. it should work.

Thanks William. I knew about cooking the grenades, I just didn't know how to do it.

Later!

There's something about all these WW2 tactical games that I can't quite put my finger on. I think the original which all the others mostly copied was "Blitzkrieg" and I suppose for me its that the combats take place at much too short ranges and that all the games place too much emphasis on tanks. WW2 was not about tanks it was a war about infantry and artillery and none of these game really reflect what WW2 combat is about. I don't think I've seen a single horse drawn artillery limber or wagon in any of them and many armies in WW2 relied on horse power for their mobility.

The "Theatre of War" franchise makes a better attempt at representing the ranges of WW2 combat but that too is too tank-centric for my taste and has a simply awful interface.

These games are definitely pretty to look at, there's no denying that but under the hood they all seem to lack substance.

I agree and disagree. The emphasis on Tanks is WAY to much, but at the same time they were still critical pieces on the modern battlefield. You didn't win without Artillery and Infantry but at the same time Tanks were critical as well... they were not the uber weapons they were made to be though. Tanks without infantry are sitting ducks.
