Wanted: Irish Flag Opinions

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Here ya go D, the darker one, before the hiLite process, gotta have Paint.Net to open it. Then you've gotta figure out the rest of the process to get it in the game. A challenge from me to you...heh heh heh
Well.....Photoshop doesn't seem to Open a PDN type of file. I could probably get a forgot the name thing off of the Internet, to open it with Photoshop!

But, I'll wait until you put it into a dds Hopefully.....and not a tga which is beyond my ability to edit!

Now, I'm off to Mr.Google to find out what a PDN file stands for!

ahem...
gotta have Paint.Net to open it

Very nice indeed. B)

1 more perhaps? You know you want to. ;)
Ha, yep I did, a combination of both. I'll probably show it tomorrow with the release of the 3rd set of four...I'm getting faster with these HD templates.

No need for a USCT flag yet, as no battles that I'm involved with in designing yet have included colored troops, plus, there's no approved sprites for them.

Agreed, the one on the right is my choice too. I'd also suggest that you dull down the colors of your other flags. Vegetable dyes were still used during the war. They are not as bright as the industrial dyes of the 1880's. I know you were looking for something else to do, so I make the request. :)
Yeah, agreed, good points and info.

However, presently I'm not going to get into this. I'm going to release the flags in the best shape I can get them into, with the best and brightest colors I can design...like they're new. Then, upon completion of this set, and maybe others, make my templates available in the original layered format within the app Paint.Net, and let folks skuff'em up to their preferences. What do ya think MTG, and folks?

The original format is much better to work with as there will be no degradation that would normally happen with the compression process to .dds or if folks prefer, .tga. Also, you then get an option to try other .dds compressions.

Or course, there will be a learning curve involved here, for folks will have to learn how graphics work, along with the gfx.csv file, and probably will need to own and have a working knowledge of Excel. Regardless, it's a step to help budding young modders out there, and as far as I'm concerned, we can't have too many. The more the merrier, ;) and better for SOW, IMO. :)
