I agree. This is just speculation, but it looks to me like either the WIN 8 OS is using
a different random number generator, or else there's a timing mismatch due to the different
speeds of the PC involved in the MP game, and the random number sequences get out of sync.

cjay, do you, by chance, run W8 to emulate Win7 as suggested in the other thread?

OK, might have found something. Check everyone's Debug/aicount value. If they are different, set all the values the same and try playing again. Please let me know how it goes.

I had it set to 75 :ohmy:
I can't remember when I changed it or why. I must have changed it
when it was being discussed in a thread.
What should I set it to?

AutoGameDB=1
MPLog=1
DbgLvl=1
aicount=75
;AlphaOmega=1

cjay/Barrow, try running your GCM Launcher. I've just made it remove the aicount line from the ini file, so hopefully no one should have it anymore.

We'll see if we get any more of this freeze from here on.

What about the people who still play SP aside from MP? Won't they still need the aicount line?

No one needs it.

If you want to use it, then after running the launcher just add it back in to your ini file.

What if GCM sets it to some nominal value such as 40? Then it would still be there for SP,
and would be the same for all the MP participants
