7zip is probably the issue.

I don't have that program installed. I have always used winrar.

I'll down load 7zip and give that a try.

Conjotter - Winrar reads and handles 7z files no problem. I know because that's what I use!



Crikey - those instructions do not work because Waterloo cannot understand the accented foreign characters.

This is why I suggested users do different to your instructions.

Of course we didn't know a few weeks ago that accented fonts are not understood by WL but we do now.

People like to use archive programs differently as well. I prefer to open the 7z file and drag the contents into my SOWWL mods folder, and most of the people I know work the same way, hence having the mod correctly bundled and ready to go is the best policy.

So please, please - just make a main folder called "My Mod" or whatever and zip that up. It saves everyone all this confusion. Thanks.

Tank. They do work. I used them. The foreign character is only a problem if the sub files have foreign characters. I.e....The map.csv etc. The main folder characters aren't a problem.

Sorry folks, this just doesn't work for some reason.

I installed 7zip, and that doesn't help.

For what it is worth, I have successfully installed and used just about all of the mods for the Gettysburg game.

And Reb's toolbar mod works fine in Waterloo.

I am going to put Crikey's mods on the backburner for the time being.

Conjotter. Please open your mods folder. Please open your Montana Sagrada folder. What do you see? If you see another folder called Montana Sagrada you've messed up a step.

Aha. This might be the problem then? For the guys having trouble it is worth a look into the csv files.

The downloads I provided shouldn't have any clashing characters. I downloaded them and installed them today. No changes. All loaded fine.

It's an odd one. Unless later windows versions do something weird.

The possible problem is a rogue layer in the sub folder hierarchy caused by the way some zip progs unpack directories. I.e. It creates an extra layer so you have a folder structure in SoWWL that looks like this ....mods/Montana Sagrada WL/Montana Sagrada WL/

If you have this extra layer the game can't fine the map files. I found this with a few other mods. I had to move the sub directories up a layer by cutting and pasting them so it looked like this

Mods/Montana Sagrada WL/
Graphics
Logistics
Maps
Sounds

I'm using Windows Vista.

Mods just will not load.

If you've checked all the files are in your mod folder, the folder structure matches what I describe and you've followed my instructions then I'm out of ideas.

Can you post a screengrab of your mods folder showing the Montana Sagrada mod and its subfolders please?
