Roy, check the announcement again. Work on the patch is finished and its been passed to Matrix for distribution. Norb isn't 'delaying' at all. Steam will update their patch system when Matrix release theirs, all these different parts must function together, so that all customers get access to the patch at the same time.

Right now I imagine Matrix is arranging with Steam so that both are released at the same time.

The cavalry problem was only highlighted quite recently. I very much doubt NSD will have had the time to work on it. In fact the 'patch' seems to mostly be a small update to allow the QB, Ligny and Wavre add-ons to function with the SB campaign and the other minor items listed in Norb's second paragraph. No indication of any game functionality changes. That was the only concrete news that was announced.

No. V.1.02 was released alongside the collectors Edition.

Strange it should update automatically, my game says it's the Collectors Edition but V.101

Maybe they just forgot to change the numbers, but if you're updated to collectors edition, you're good to go.

So! hang on my steam version of the game is still saying its 1.01 despite being on auto-update.

Are we saying its been updated, but that steam forgot to change the version number, or has the steam update not worked. I'm confused.

Is there no way to install the update directly?
I've downloaded it but the .exe can;t find the steam version of the game.

the devs did not bump the version number from what I can see. Matrix labelled the update as ver 1.02.

I have SOW Waterloo stating on the Multiplayer page that it is version 1.01. I have all three DLCs installed: Ligny, QB and Wavre. The True Updater informs me that I have the latest version installed. I have an Application filed called UpdateComp-v102 in the Patches folder of the game.

Given what I have, how can I tell whether I'm updated to version 1.02 ?

Check the readme.doc file in the game's main folder. If it says 1.02, then you are updated.
