Could not play after computer restart. Cannot deactivate to reactivate. Tried to reinstall without success. This is annoying enough to ask for my money back. Please advise ASAP.

You might need to get your code unlocked.
Send an email to sowsupport at scourgeofwar dot com with your code and email address you used to purchase the game.

And don't forget to attach the log file.
BTW, there is no mention in the first post that you should deactivate the game.

I think your anti-piracy system stinks. I would like my money back if possible and you can keep your activation coding system.

No problem. We try to give as much up front information as possible before the purchase about our activation system. But many programs prevent us from running the code we need. They just decide to mark false positives of our program files with no warning or option to the user. We cannot control what people do on their machines, so we are unable to prevent other software from disabling ours. Rather than go through systems that require CDs in the drive or to have another program run full time, we felt that a one time activation would be the least intrusive. We just had the unfortunate timing that virus scan companies started to flag any encrypted program as a virus.
There is absolutely no reason in our code that a restart would cause a problem. The only reason this could happen is if the restart caused a scan that decided to not allow our program to run. If our program is not allowed to run, there is nothing that we can do. Any measures to change this would be beyond the scope of what we feel is intrusive to the user.
I'm surprised that the demo ran well, as the demo also loads and runs the same exact system. Refunds would have to go through where you purchased the software, as we do not handle any of the transactions ourselves.

My hard drive died over the weekend.
After installing a new HD and installing the demo and patch, I tried to activate the game with my code, but I get a message:
This code is currently active. You need to deactivate the game that is using it before it can be used again.
I have tried to deactivate the game (demo), but I get the same message above.

Hey Norb, it finally happened, I had a crash that required a reformat of the drive and have to reinstall the game (done that). How do I go about "deactivating" the copy that got squashed, as I was not able to deactivate it the proper way?
Thanks.
