Adukes,

Good question - I know what you're asking. I can't for the life of me remember how to check that. :S

DaV,

Thanks but none of those links helped. As far as I know, there is no-board video.

Am now wondering if my DirectX is current. Will check it out.

ADukes,

Roger that. Thanks. Ran it. Am using between 5% and 8% of RAM before SOWGB. Not a lot, I'd say.

All,

Just wondering - should this topic be moved to the Technical topic area?

Are you sure that 5-8% is your memeroy usage? That would be ~81MB only.

Okay, the Duh factor is huge here sometimes. Will assume we are looking under the "performance" tab - CPU usage - 2-7% average. Page file usage - under 400 MB average. Have 34 processes running. Probably could cut that down somewhat.
Total physical memory - 1047024K. Available - 613572 +/-. Kernal Memory - Total - 123552. Paged - 85280 +/-. Unfortunately, nothing just says RAM usage. Will guess, (again), one of the above counts for RAM in some fashion.

RAM = random access memory

1047024kb - 613572kb = 433452kb (~423MB) in use

What's your Catalyst version?

Am aware what RAM means. Thank you for the math conversion, though. Nice to know.

Catalyst version - 6-11-pre-r300_xp2k_ddccc_wdm_38185. In theory, this is the latest version available from ATI.

Thoughts?

Jack

BTW - sound just went out in demo. Uninstalled everything, downloaded a new demo and reinstalled. Sound back, still have floating rocks, etc.

Do you have the "use application settings" box checked for AntiAliasing in the Catalyst control center?
