Adding the TC2M Sounds into SOW:

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Been testing seems to be excellent are you going to do the left and right wheel commands. and is it possible to add the take cover command for the take cover button by itself on Rebs Mod... This has nothing to do with the commands but there are a ton of map ambient sounds included in the tc2m sound I wonder if they could be put in game somehow....It would help maps to have some Life to them....

Are you going to do the left and right wheel commands.
Well, that was tried on the previous game, and it didn't turn out too well.

The problem is that this button might be clicked several times very quickly, so the sound wouldn't work too good hearing that multiple times in a row.
And is it possible to add the take cover command for the take cover button by itself on Rebs Mod...

So, Reb's Toolbar has a Take Cover button?

I don't remember ever seeing one, and what does it do, or is it the Lie-Down function?

Yes, they can be added to any of the maps, after they are redefined to begin with SFX_ and placed into the mapname.csv file in the F \ Column .

To understand that a little better, open up one of the default Maps \ csv - file and scroll it down to near the bottom and you will see how the sounds are loaded.

I'm thinking of changing the Attach and the Detach to something else.

Attach - can be Reporting General .
Detach - I don't have a good sound for that one, yet!

I remember that the SMG game had a lot of Quotes defining the battle - Do you have those, and can you send them to me. I might be able to cut some of the sounds from those.

Thanks,

davinci

OK, Yes I can add in the Take Cover Men on the Brigade Level.

I'll also probably add it to the Regiments by combining the Take Cover Men \ Lie Down .

@Cleaburn - Hey, dis-regard on sending those sounds that I asked for, I have located my old SMG Disk.

I knew that I saved it, I just couldn't remember where I saved it!

@Cleaburn - Here is the latest version called DRF_VocalMod_V1.

I'm still missing a few commands....such as .....ReSupply, Scout, Raid, etc...

I did add in the Oblique which isn’t too bad, but didn’t add in the Wheel L\R due to the rapid clicking involved with that command.

Disable the other one and test this one at your convenience.

Thanks,

davinci

@Cleaburn - Hey, how is everything going!

Hey, do you have any other Civil War Games on your Computer that has sound-files in it?

I tried searching the Internet for the sounds that are missing, but didn't have any luck.

I need the following:
Attach - or any wav file that has that work in it.
Detach - same as above.
Join - same as above.
Scout - same as above.
Map - same as above.
Ammo - Ammunition - or any wav file that has that word in it.

Certain files will allow for words to be cut \ cropped , but sometimes cutting a single work out of a wav file doesn't work, as the word becomes.....!

Thanks,

davinci
