Thanks guys. Obviously our marketing budget is nothing, so it's word of mouth that will make or break us.

Hi guys!
as you, norb, have been so very understanding with the discussion on HWLG, I only thought it fair to mention your great game on the HWLG forum as well...I posted the link to your website...I think many people, who don't already know, will show interest in your game, when they liked HWLG

Too many people think that it's a competition and that player's are only going to buy 1 game, yours or theirs. I think that's BS. There are so few games of this type that people will buy which ever one is getting good talk about it. If both games are good, they will buy both games. If only one is good, they'll just buy one. And if both suck...

oh I think my post came out wrong...sorry....I didn't mean that in any way...I never thought about this as a competition...
my only intention was to return the favour/generousity you granted me by letting me answer the guys' questions about HWLG over here- by telling the guys over there that there is another game for grognards out there...nothing else :woohoo:

I made up this flyer to distribute at my Civil War Round Table after the game is released. My next CWRT is April 8th so hopefully the game will be out by then. [file name=SOWG.doc size=158208]
http://www.norbsoftware.com/Portal/medi ... s/SOWG.doc[/file]
Edit: Well, that didn't work. I tried to use the "attach file" option. I'll try scanning it and see if that works.
No luck...file size too big.

I will probably set up some ftp space for people to use in the future on the scourgeofwar site. There's a lot of features over there that I haven't even begun to explore yet.
You can also scan it and post the image. I'd like to see it

I don't know if this has been discussed on here any, but getting this game integrated with Xfire would do tons of advertisement. Friends can see us playing it, and even friends of friends can see us playing it. It's the best word-of-mouth you can have in the game world. We can take screenshots that are uploaded to our xfire profiles, so folks can see what our battles look like, etc... I know we were fighting for this with TC2M but it was never added to xfire. I'm not sure what the process entails of contacting them to add a game, but if we can do it with this, it's guaranteed to boost sales and spread the word.
