Hey Davinci. Nice to see you back! I'm still doing ACW stuff and running occasional MP scenarios for the KS group.

Believe me, I've tried. Even going up to 32 frames from the present 8 still looked like crap, so I abandoned any further efforts.
Reb , "Understood", but if
you would leave the flag-drooping "would that not reduce the frames". Basically, sort of like in the "Gettysburg Movie" when Chamberlain was on the round-tops with the flag bearer holding a drooping flag.
Glad to hear from you D, it's been months since you posted last. Hope you hang around for a while and find a new niche or two that compliment your modding skills. The game is always open for improvements and additions.
I still check the forums almost daily, but as you stated earlier there is not much going on with the Civil War Forums.
Keep up the "Great Work" your flags have really changed the game for the better!
Martin James, How is everything going, its good to see that
you are still active on the game.

Frankly, the skill set involved with creating an acceptable drooping effect is beyond me. Besides, even if possible, I wouldn't consider a permanent droop effect. If the game engine (or gfx file) provided the capability of having a drooping flag while units are idle, and a waving flag while they are moving or running, this might be considered, but it doesn't, and won't, for this engine is done.
Bottom line, a waving 8 frame design provides for full detail exposure with a relatively small memory footprint (TC2M flags used 12 frames, Tim C introduced the first 8 frame models, I continued that 'memory saving' trend with different techniques).

what position does this mod have to be in the load order? Top or bottom?

Lowest priority (bottom placement) guarantees full functionality of any mod because that mod's files are read and entered last, overriding any same-named files or data prioritized above. I don't really have many priority concerns with B&F because most of it's modded data is uniquely named. However, any toolbar mod will definitely clash, for obvious reasons.

I'm having problems with this mod I think, I'm pretty sure it's causing my game to CTD. I contacted Slitherine Tech Support & we tried this to solve the problems.

So maybe I'm doing something wrong, any ideas?

Sorry to hear this. Briefly perused the link and it appears B&F is the culprit. What scenario or OOB was crashing? ...I can't presently access the link again to look this up on the log you posted, also, maybe a new log after a crash posted here will help diagnose.
Thanks for the Report!

This is from my last game. All my games have been SandBox games with no particular OOB. I don't know if it's important but the last two games never crashed with this load order.

Hey Roy,
Thanks for the log. All those mods are safe I believe, but I don't know about the 'smoke' one. However, one is causing the IDS errors in the log but that shouldn't cause a crash. There are reported issues with 'Gettysburg 3Days Carryover' so I recommend removing it. A more stable version is included within B&F but I believe it still has some issues.
All in all it's good you had no crashes with your last two plays. I'm awaiting a response from another forum member who ran an extended playing session with a B&F scenario series, so maybe I'll have some followup info soon. In the meantime I hope you continue to use B&F and help identify any issues. Thanks!

OK I'll remove the 'Gettysburg 3Days Carryover' & keep using your mod, lets face it playing without your mod is horrible. I'll have a few games tomorrow & let you know what happens.
