Have you seen what canister fire does yet? I'm not sure what percentage of the regiment goes down each shot but there are clumps of men everywhere when they reach canister range of the artillery.
Yes, canister fire is devastating.. And the sound is awesome isn't it! :evil:
HELL, YEAH!!!! Artillery is awesome! :evil: :whistle: :woohoo:

ros,

On the graphics, are you refering to the Unit graphics (troops)?
The defalt setting is a lo-res setting, you may need to go to Options and bump it up to "Best".
I was referring to the general terrain- the units look good from the penultimate zoom - closest is blurry but I think that's the same as TC2M. The landscape just looks a bit like it's not got either enough contrast or saturation. Having given the game another go, the look is growing on me - the detail in the graphics is clearly better, and it may just be a hazy day in the demo, but I still would say there is something in the colour that is not quite right. As I said before, others may love it and it may just be my personal taste.

I agree. Basically I don't like the tree sprites as much as those from TC2M. Also the ground in the demo battle is all reddish/brown. If the ground was green it would probably look a lot better. This is stuff that will be changed by mods.

Taken from my post in the Blurry Sprites thread;

See the Readme. You can turn on AntiAliasing and Anisotropy which will sharpen things up.

Go to NorbsofDev/Scourge of War - Gettysburg/Work

Open SOWGB.ini

You will find a section called [Initializion]

Add the following so it will look like:

[Initialization]
AntiA=2
Anso=4

This really makes things look smoother and sharper.

It's not just you.

After playing some of the recent beautiful maps for TC2M I find the lime green tree canopies in the demo kinda hokey.

We have locust trees with almost that brilliant green canopy where I live, but only in the spring.

Where there really lime green tree canopies at Gettysburg?

All monitors are different unfortunately.
Things look fine on mine.

The

AntiA=2
Anso=4

is already in my ini file.

I bumped it up to 8 and 16 and it still seems to play with good FPS.

Those narrow chested bony-assed nags the officers are riding don't really add to the realism either

Yeah I want to report that stoppage in the game where the screen just freezes and then a few seconds later it starts back up again and only one time during the whole tutorial?

I tried a different maneuver the 2nd time I played and moved to my left instead of to the right and the ai did a pretty good job of routing my units but I still did a pretty good job against them as well.

I also can't get Multiplayer feature to work I try to create a profile and it keeps telling me the name is already taken and won't let me get to the lobby?

Try a different name. Add a number or something to the end of your desired screen shot, and you should be fine.
