Hi MTG,

A couple of possibly daft questions as I root around for explanations for some of us haveing freezes in MP with couriers:

If someone has the Courier & Mini Map mod enabled, what happens in MP? Could it try and pause the game when you call up the map??!

I think I replaced the stock maps with your maps when this came out. That is, I assume, totally separate from the clock-stopping?

Thanks,

Blaugrana

Good question. The maps themselves have no effect on the game, it would be the gscreens file. I seem to recall from long ago, that only files on the MP host can do that. But it was also my understanding that nothing can pause an MP game. If you think the gscreens file may be an issue, just go to the Logistics folder of the mod and rename gscreens.csv to agscreens.csv and see if that helps. I don't think that will screw up anything in the mod. Hopefully.

Thanks MTG.

So, if the mod is enabled on the host's game, it could be an issue.

Whether any other players have it enabled should be neither here nor here.

Having replaced the stock map with your map is also not an issue.

If I've understood this correctly, MP players wanting to use couriers should perhaps check the host is not running this mod?

Thanks again for your help.

Yes to all. As I said, the simplest test is to have the host disable the gscreens file and see what happens. If there are no freezes, enable the file and see if the problem returns. This may be a way to pause the game that Norb overlooked. That would be good information for him to have.

Thanks MTG.

I've not been using the mod recently, but other people may and I just wondered if there might be an issue with the pausing.

At the moment we're going on Little Powell's advice to play without any mods and see if we can identify the problem.

Which download link do we use? The one on the first post says 1.03.

I have updated this mod again. It contains better mini-maps for the Antietam expansion pack for use with courier orders. Also the road network errors on the Antietam maps, Alpine and Culp's Hill maps have been repaired.
