Hey RckGunny,
I saw you are online, make sure you have the requirements met, as explained in the first post and then follow Saddletank's direction, that's the best I've seen it explained....

Taken from the first post of this topic:
.........................................................................................................
IMPORTANT: This map requires The Anniversary edition, or Chancellorsville and Antietam to work correctly. The map will still run fine without it, but you will get an error on load and you will be missing some buildings.
Now, you can still
load the game without any errors by a very simple [/b] notepad [/b] file.
Open the
Notepad that comes with every Computer System - name the file
CVille.dat and save it.
Copy that file into your
Maps \ Packages folder.
This will not add any of the missing houses...etc...but it will load the game without any interruption.
BTW: The
Sharpsburg.dat file is included with the mod.

ok i guess i don't got it . still getting errors . did everything i've been told i'll what untill it really ready . got to give up now .i understand everything you guys are telling me, but it just hangs up on me . when i close the error i get norbsoftdev(which is the game itself) not responding in the tasks window . i use windows 7 , it looks like somebody is still using windows xp, or not . i'm not sure.or maybe i don't have the annaversary edition of antietam and all i got is whatever antietam i got before you guys started selling it. its ok i'll just play manassas on the old take command . i like that one still. that 1 and the old bull run games to me are still awesome!

ok i think i figured out whats wrong , i need a copy of the Cville dat file, because i havn't been able to buy the chancelorsville battle. maybe thats it. i made a Cvile dat file , well i copied and pasted the name of the file but theres no writing in the file like the sharpsburg file. its has coding in it. so thats why i thought i need a copy of the Cville file with the coding in it .

Well, until you purchase the
add-on Map, you can use this simple
file to load the game without any errors.
I didn’t use a zip on the file since it is so small and has nothing in it, that it probably will not corrupt the file during a download.
All you have to do is to drag it into the
Manassas \ Maps \ Packages file as shown in the picture.
Now, the game will load the Map – without errors – but you will
not have some of the objects on the Map until you purchase the add-on.
So, extract the file in the attachment below to your Desktop, and then Open
Windows Explorer – so that your screen resembles the picture that I posted.
………………………………………………………………………………………….
Another Option – that will work the same way is to
Press the Spacebar when the Map is loading after you hear a
Ping-Sound .

The attachment 1_2015-02-04.jpg is no longer available
OK- I think that the file has to be in a
zip-format to show up, so it is zipped. So you can still un-zip on the Desktop, and then drag it as shown above.

DaVinci, I don't think that's the issue. Little Powell said that users who don't own Antietam and Chancellorsville will get this error on game loading but the game will still run okay once the user dismisses those errors.
Gunny's game is crashing completely so it looks like it may be a problem with the Manassas installation still.
Gunny - I use Win7 as well, I just have my desktop scheme set to a retro WinXP look because I prefer it!

You might be correct, but I'm thinking that once the game
pauses due to the missing
dat files,
he is using the
Ctrl-Alt-Del to exit the game.
So, if he adds in the
blank.dat files, this would stop his game from pausing during loading.
