Am I right in assuming you used the H_BR_Gre_ Graphics and not the BR_Gre_, then moved the _H_ into the middle of the graphic title.
Correct , Now I think that I understand where you are having a problem. You might be mixing the Hi-Res and the Lo-Res together. This might be the twitching problem that you are seeing.
Yes I'm going to go back and re-set some of the set numbers.
Before you do that , check to make sure that you are working with the same-set of Hi-Res files.
Also, both sets of French infantry graphics have 8 death.dds files each. It's odd that all the others loaded up with numbers I kind of guessed at. Yes, the British only have 1 death file.
I think that the Cavalry units have multiple death files, but I don't see any Infantry with multiple death files.

I'm guessing that the biggest problem is that you may have mixed the graphics up, and this is why the Angles \ Frames are not working.

All of his Hi-Res files seem to start with an H_ .

@Jack - I forgot to mention this; You are not changing the original-files correct?

It's better to copy the ones that you are editing into a different folder, this way you have the originals as a sort of back-up if you need them.

This way you won't have to re-download them again.

DaV,

That was exactly it. I needed the High-Res graphics for the British regular Infantry. They work fine now. Going to re-do the French regular Infantry to make sure I have the High-Res sprites there, too. Will advise.

Yes, I have back-ups of my back-ups. Learned the hard way years ago not to work on the originals. LOL!

Also, you don't see French units with multiple death files because there are only British, Hanoverians and Saxons in the Minden Update. The French sprites came much earlier. HOWEVER, the Saxons (SA_Inf_) look a lot like French, so maybe I'll use them for French.

Onward! We'll be fighting the Seven Years War yet!

Jack – Here is the answer to a previous question:

Giving them their own line to call up, instead of them using a line that is reserved for the GB_LINF :

Place this in the unitglobal file.

,BRITISH,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
BR_Gre,1,,,4,8,USPR_BR_Gre_H_01_Private,USPR_BR_Gre_H_01_Private,USPR_BR_Gre_H_01_Private,,,,SFX_Inf_Walk_1,SFX_Inf_Stand_1,SFX_Art_Load_1,SFX_Art_Ready_1,SFX_Inf_Fire_1,SFX_Inf_Run_1,SFX_Inf_Charge_2,SFX_Inf_CSA_Melee_1,SFX_Inf_Prone_1,USPR_BR_Gre_H_01_Private,GUI_LINE_LVL6_Inf,GUI_CS_LVL6_Friendly,GUI_CS_Enemy,DRIL_Lvl6_Inf_LineFight,DRIL_Lvl6_Inf_Column

This line below is the default for the GB_LINF – so that you can have both of them in the game.

GB_LINF,1,,,4,8,GB_LINF,GB_LINF_NCO,,,,,SFX_Inf_Walk_1,SFX_Inf_Stand_1,SFX_Art_Load_1,SFX_Art_Ready_1,SFX_Inf_Fire_1,SFX_Inf_Run_1,SFX_Inf_Charge_2,SFX_Inf_CSA_Melee_1,SFX_Inf_Prone_1,GB_OB,GUI_LINE_LVL6_Inf,GUI_CS_LVL6_Friendly,GUI_CS_Enemy,DRIL_Lvl6_Inf_LineFight,DRIL_Lvl6_Inf_Column

In the OOB in the K Column just type in BR_Gre , and change the flag to what-ever they use.

Now, I'm off to sleep, this is my busy week:

DaV,

Way ahead of you, my Brother. Have Both British troop types in play, each with their own unitglobal line. Am using actual SYW British Flags that RB accidently made for his NapFlagMod. They don't have the Irish Union red cross on them. That came later. (TY RB!)
Still trying to get the NapMod flagbearer out and replace him with a SYW one.

Also, gonna bag the actual French sprites and use the Saxons as French, since they have the same type of set-up as the British sprites. Woot!

Sleep well.

All,

(and especially DaV and Tank), Here are some screenshots that continue to show the amazing possibilities of this Game and Game Engine. With massive help from Davinci, I have ported over several sets of sprites from Alessillo's TC2M Frederick the Great Seven Years War mod. Both troops and Flags. Alessillo is working on a Mod for this game engine for the War of the Spanish Succession - 1702-1714, a very early precursor to the Seven Years War. While waiting with baited breath for it, I wanted to see if we could have a taste of it with his older sprites. Well, here you go.
My thanks again to RebBugler for what I call his "Accidental SYW British Flag." It is awesome.

@Jack “Whoa” just give you a little nudge and you are off and running!

Great job on getting the rest of the sprites in your game!

DaV,

No, Thank You for all the help. All the sprites in use come from Alessillo's 4th. and 5th. updates of the TC2M sprites. He made major changes in the way they were presented in the graphics files. All these sprites use exactly the same information, just the "draw from" areas are different. Once the first ones were in, the rest was just typing time. Going to try to get some Cavalry and Guns in at some point. Going to be a bitch since they are Alessillos "1st Style" of sprite presentation with each sprite having up to 60 graphics files each.

...and we can't forget the Irish Brigade now, can we?

All,

So, this thing has taken on a life of its own. There are now correct Generals, (French, English AND Hanoverian.) French, English and Hanoverian Cavalry, all with correct flags. (The Generals flags look odd, so I went with the Ghost-Unit aspect.)

The Guns are next...

The big problem is, since these sprites are not "packed", they put a HUGE hit on the FPS. Not sure what to do about that...yet.

Great work Jack and some really nice pics too.

Best of luck with the packing issue.

It would be really nice to delve into the 18th C period.

Some of the players in the Kriegsspiel group would run amock with period quips and antics.
