The NSD Music Place

Here you can talk about whatever floats your boat. Your favorite movie, sports team, etc. If it's a little racey, I suggest you post in R&R, otherwise we'll move it for you.

Godzilla! That reminds me!

At one of the companies i worked for, the lead HW designer got to choose a code name for his project. My project at the time was targeted for the Japanese consumer market so i naturally named it Godzillla!:)
The marketing department in all their wisdom over ruled my code name thinking it might OFFEND the Japanese! Godzilla destroyed Tokyo is what i was told. HuH!
They coerced me to rename it Fuji.

I later did get to name an inhouse ATE PCB, Gammara! Ha, marketing couldn't touch that one since it was in an in-house circuit board but they still didn't like it cause a group of high level Japanese executives and engineers were due for a visit to approve the Fuji product and sign the papers.

When all was said and done, that Japanese delegation took a bunch of us out to a local sushi house for dinner and drinks, man do those Japanese know how to party. :silly: :woohoo:
