I'm returning to the game after awhile and am trying to install the 1.4 patch without success. I'm currently on ver 1.103 and downloaded the patch from this link http://www.scourgeofwar.com/downloads.shtml . When I install it I get the "this file contains invalid data" error message. Does the patch file need to be in a particular folder? Thanks.

Nope not 193MB. I downloaded from about 4 different links in this thread and none of them worked or were 193mb. Is there a newer better link than I've been able to find? I did manage to update to the 1.3 patch from the contact/support link.

Edit: Disregard. Another attempt at the download from the OP was 193mb and worked. Thanks. Is the 1.4026 beta patch recommended or are there still bugs?

I updated to patch 1.4 and the game wants an activation code. I put in the corect code and it says that I have to deactivate the game to play it. Is this correct? If so, how do I deactivate the game?

Have you reinstalled the software again Gfran?
If so, that's likely the cause.The original .EXE is still activated and you'd simply need to re-open that one and de-activate from the bottom right corner link on the main menu.Then open your new installation and select activate from the same bottom right link.

Hi Greg,
The link is actually just the word itself "De-activate"
you should be able to click on the word and start the process.
Hope its this simple
